Sanctioned Securities Monitoring

Since 2014 and in close partnership with SIX Financial Information (SIX FI), CETREL Securities has developed and operates the Sanctioned Securities Monitoring Service (SSMS), while SIX FI markets and sells the service.

SSMS is mainly based on SIX FI’s data and serves clients all over the globe, while being considered one of the world leading services on international sanctions.

SSMS covers eleven regulators (US, AU, CA, CH, EU, HK, JP, NL, SG, UK, UN) having imposed sanctions, and provides securities watchlists for Cluster Munitions and Marijuana Related Businesses (MRB).

Service Description: The SIX solution

SSMS provides, on a bi-daily basis, a list of issuers and securities that are linked to the domiciles, companies and individuals sanctioned by eleven Sanctions Regimes.

Sectoral sanctions on Russia / Belarus securities are reported within one database and SSMS also provides easy access to securities linked to entities or persons at high risk.

Automated processes match regulators’ sanction lists against domicile, entity and beneficial ownership data to compile the list of in-scope and ‘at-risk’ securities.

SSMS marries beneficial ownership data with the SIX FI award-winning corporate actions data, which are critical to monitoring securities’ sanctions status.

Key areas include:

  • Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meetings
  • Capital Changes
  • Securities Assimilation
  • Issued Capital Information

The SSMS delivery consists in full files (exhaustive status snapshot at given run date and time) and delta files (highlighting changes from previous run deliveries), delivered twice a day, Monday through Saturday, in CSV - XLSX - XML formats and via eMail or SFTP channels.
